MedConnect is a non-profit youth organization that is dedicated to improving healthcare accessibility and awareness for children in the mountainous and underprivileged regions of Vietnam. Believing that every child deserves equal opportunities for wellness and growth, MedConnect focuses on providing essential medical education, preventive care, and nutrition guidance for local communities.
With interactive workshops, vaccination support, and outreach programs, our members collaborate closely with children and families to educate them on living healthy and preventing diseases. We seek to do more than medical assistance and instead educate for long-lasting comprehension of personal health and hygiene so that children develop life-long habits.
One of our key initiatives, The Green Journey – Spreading Love to Pa Phach, took volunteers to rural areas of Son La Province to conduct health education sessions and distribute family medical kits, learning supplies, and daily essentials. Beyond providing material support, the campaign strengthened the bond between volunteers and local residents, inspiring mutual care and resilience.
MedConnect is about compassion, knowledge, and action. It is an initiative of young leaders who think that hope and health should cover all parts of Vietnam.

Call for donation
In the month leading up to the trip, we launched a small fundraising campaign within our school community and online. Every donation, big or small, felt like a shared act of kindness. By the end, we had raised 6,800,000 VND, enough to buy medical kits, school supplies, and daily necessities for the children and families we were about to meet.
Setting off
The night before the trip, our tram turned into a packing station. We sorted 33 medical kits, boxes of milk, warm clothes, notebooks, and storybooks into piles labeled for each family and class. Someone checked the health education materials again: posters, markers, and handouts we had made ourselves. Meanwhile, others carefully wrapped the solar lamps and brushes for repainting the community house. The room buzzed with quiet energy, excitement, nerves and a sense that this wasn’t just another school activity. As we loaded everything onto the van, I realized we weren’t just bringing supplies; we were bringing a part of everyone who had helped us get this far.
Our trip
During the campaign “Green Journey – Spreading Love to Pa Phach Village”, MedConnect members traveled to Dong Sang Commune, Moc Chau District, to carry out a series of outreach and education initiatives. The team conducted health communication focused on nutrition and hygiene for local children, using simple and interactive approaches to help them apply healthy habits in their daily lives.
Alongside education, the club distributed 33 family medical kits, school supplies, warm clothes, milk, and books to elementary students, along with 10 special gifts to disadvantaged households. We also repainted the village community house and installed solar-powered lamps, brightening the main road and improving nighttime for local residents.
Through laughter, teamwork, and shared purposes, MedConnect members turned simple action into real change. The images of students cleaning, painting, and building together reflect the essence of what MedConnect stands for — a combination of compassion, technology, and service that brings tangible improvements to underserved communities.
